Corrections officer charged with bringing contraband into Broad River Road prison
COLUMBIA, SC (WACH) – A corrections officer has been arrested and charged with giving out contraband at a Columbia prison.
Georgia Breona Ford is now charged with misconduct for giving out contraband at the Broad River Correctional Institution, according to an arrest warrant.
The warrant states that on Feb. 2, 2018, Ford provided inmates contraband that included food not provided by the institution, black hair loss concealer, Progenta Male Enhancement supplements and a USB flameless lighter watch.
The arrest warrant went on to say that the investigation showed that Ford tried to do the same thing April 27.
