Daughters of Brenda Jackson want answers in their mother's death
COLUMBIA, SC (WACH) -- Stephanie Thomas and Mikellynn Hill are mourning the loss of their mother Brenda Jackson.
"It's like walking around in a nightmare, a dream you cant get out of," says an emotional Thomas.
52-year-old Jackson was shot and killed last week.
"You want someone to pinch you because it doesn't feel real," explains Hill.
Jackson's body was found behind Rehoboth Restoration Church in Columbia.
"The unknown is probably the worst part for us... Not knowing what went on, who did it... why?" Thomas told WACH FOX News.
The sisters say they don't understand how someone could do this to their mother.
"She never did anything wrong to anyone. She was the nicest sweetest person ever. She would give you the shirt of her back if she had to. It hurts the most to know that someone so kind could have been treated and done the way she was done and left in the road like an animal. It isn't fair, it isn't real," says Thomas.
Although heartbroken, Stephanie and Mikellynn smile at the good times.
"She was everything you would want a mom to be. She was that mom that was talking to your friends. Dancin' all the time," laughs Thomas. Hill agrees, "All the time."
They say she was the life of the party and their best friend.
"She was everything to us. I'm lost," says Thomas.
The sister ask anyone with information to come forward.
"Speak up... I would like to know who did this and why did they do it? My mom did not deserve this at all," asks Hill.
If you have any information on the death of Brenda Jackson, you're asked to call Crimestoppers at 1-888-Crime-SC or the Columbia Police Department.
