Deputies searching for "armed and dangerous" fugitive

Gabrielle Watts

COLUMBIA, SC (WACH) – The Richland County Sheriff’s Department is asking for the community’s help in finding a man they say is an armed and dangerous fugitive.

Gabrielle Chase Watts is wanted on charges of armed robbery, kidnapping, first-degree burglary and first-degree assault and battery, according to the department.

The charges come after Watts and co-defendants forced entry into the victim’s home on June 9 in the 1300 block of Oakcrest Drive, struck the victim and then continued to hold the victim at gunpoint while the home was burglarized.

If you’ve seen Watts or know anything about the incident, you’re asked to call Crimestoppers at 1-888-CRIME-SC.
