Dominion Energy holds public forum Monday night for concerned customers
COLUMBIA, SC (WACH0 – Dominion Energy hosted a public forum Monday night at the Newberry Opera House so customers could ask questions to them face-to-face.
The Virginia-based utility is looking to merge with SCE&G in the wake of the failed nuclear project in Fairfield County.
Monday night’s meeting is the first of seven public forums around the state. Potential customers got the chance to learn more about Dominion’s goals during this forum.
They’re offering a seven-percent rate cut and $1,000 refunds, on average, for customers. SCANA shareholders have already approved the merger with Dominion Energy, but it still needs the O-K for state regulators.
