Family and friends trying to make sense of things after teen brothers die in fatal crash

COLUMBIA, SC (WACH)--Tonight police are calling it a sad day in Irmo after a senseless tragedy. Among the teens who died in Wednesday night's fatal crash, were Travis and Trey Green. They were brothers, ages 13 and 15. Their friends and family members are just processing the tragic news. It's news their 14-year-old sister Indyia Outing says doesn't feel true.

"My heart just dropped. I just feel like I don't got no brothers no more. I just wish I could see my brothers living and smiling one more time," says Outing.

Her brothers Travis and Trey never made it out of the hospital alive after officers say the car they were in crashed after a chase. 15-year-old Reshad Davis died at the scene. Six teens were all in the car. None of them wore a seat belt. Police say the teens were in a car reported stolen earlier this week from Regency Park Drive.

Now, their friends and family can only wish things could have been different. But they're also trying to keep smiling, like they say Travis and Trey would do.

"If they were here, they'd be playing around, laughing and smiling. All [Trey} said is 'I love my school, but I love the girls too. I don't think I'll ever recover from this. Two brothers at the same time, in the same don't feel right," says Outing.

Three of the teens remain in Palmetto Health Richland hospital with injures ranging from stable to critical condition. The South Carolina Highway Patrol MAIT Team and Lexington County Coroner continue to investigate.
