Five Points Foundation announces revenue made from this year's St. Pats in Five Points

COLUMBIA, SC (WACH) – The Five Points Foundation has awarded $49,000 to over 30 charities and non-profit organizations in the Midlands from revenue generated from the 36th Annual St. Pat’s in Five Points, according to the foundation.

The foundation said approximately 41,000 people attended the event and approximately 2,200 racers ran in the Get to the Green 15K, 10K, 5K and 1-mile Family Fun Run races.

The foundation said the festival creates a $6 million economic impact on the City of Columbia each year. They said the funds are used for beautification projects, security cameras, marketing and promotions and organizing and hosting free events for the community.
