Five subjects wanted for car thefts, break-ins at Lexington apartments (Lexington Police Department)

LEXINGTON COUNTY, SC (WACH) – The Lexington Police Department says they’re searching for five black men who they say were involved in stealing two cars and suspected of being involved in a series of car break-ins at two apartment complexes.

The department says that in the early morning hours of Tuesday, July 17, multiple cars were broken into at the Reserve at Mill Landing Apartments and Cedarcrest Apartments. The victims reported multiple items stolen including a handgun and a laptop.

Officers also received information about two cars stolen from the Reserve at Mill Landing Apartments that were described as a silver Hyundai Accent and a dark green 2017 Nissan pathfinder, according to the department.

Officers say the five black men then met at a nearby convenience store while in the two stolen cars along with a third car described as a silver sedan of an unknown make.

Anyone with information about this investigation, or knows the identity of the men in the above picture, are asked to call Det. Cpl. Mike Lawler at 803-359-2067 or Crimestoppers at 1-888-CRIME-SC.
