Gray Collegiate Academy hiring Heise husband-wife duo as head coaches
COLUMBIA, SC (WACH) – Former Brookland-Cayce High head boys’ soccer coach Kevin Heise has landed a new head coaching job.
According to a release, Heise will be introduced as the new boys’ head soccer coach at Gray Collegiate Academy Tuesday.
Heise spent the last 25 years as Brookland-Cayce’s head coach, compiling a record of 454-172-26, playing in three Class 3A state championships, seven final four appearances, and 15 region titles.
Heise recently resigned as the head coach of the Bearcats after he was put on administrative leave due to what the school called a “life talk” to one of his classes.
Heise will also be joined by his wife, Emily, who will now serve as Gray Collegiate’s girls’ soccer team.
Heise spent the last nine years on the coaching staff of the Brookland-Cayce girls’ team coaching staff, where she was also a plyer and member of the team’s 2005 3A state championship team.
The two will be announced at a press conference at the school Tuesday at 10 a.m.
