Hopkins woman identified as driver in fatal I-20 crash
COLUMBIA, S.C. (WACH)-- Richland County Coroner Gary Watts has identified the woman who died in a crash on I-20 Tuesday morning.
According to Coroner Watts, 47-year-old Tonya Nazreth was involved in a single-vehicle crash around 8:47 am. on I-20 westbound at mile marker 74.
The Hopkins woman was wearing a seat-belt when the car left the road and hit and tree.
She was transported to Palmetto Health Richland Memorial Hospital where she later died due to blunt trauma to the upper body.
The SC Highway Patrol is investigating the collision.
