“I’m going to see the Incredibles,” says Gipson after winning the SC democratic primary
COLUMBIA (WACH) ---- It was a race surrounded by controversy and scandal.
Now the Fifth Circuit Solicitor's Office will soon have a new prosecutor.
Byron Gipson defeated Incumbent Dan Johnson by more than 15-thousand votes Tuesday night.
Although Gipson won the primary, that doesn’t mean he’s automatically the solicitor.
That’s because July 16th is the deadline for any petition candidate.
That person must turn in ten thousand signatures to be placed on the November ballot.
That petition candidate would then face off with Byron Gipson come November 6th .
Gipson stopped by Good Day Columbia to talk about clinching the democratic nomination and what’s he doing next.
