Joe Biden's personal aide leaving White House to return to USC

WASHINGTON D.C. (WACH) -Reports from the nationâ??s capital say Vice President Joe Biden's personal aide Fran Person will be leaving the White House and returning to his alma mater, The University of South Carolina.
Person started working for Biden in 2006 as a staff assistant and left after Biden dropped out of the 2008 presidential campaign.
After Biden was named the VP candidate, Person returned to work for Biden for the past eight years.
Over the years Person became the Vice Presidents right hand man, travelling the world on diplomatic trips and informing the VP when it was time to wrap up meetings.
The former South Carolina Football player double majored in political science and international studies.
According to the USC sports website Person was a member of the Gamecock Football team from 2001-2005.
The former offensive lineman checked in at 6-6 and 282 pounds during his playing days.
Reports indicate that Person will be an advisor to USC President Harris Pastidies and AD Ray Tanner.
Person will be moving to Fort Mill with his two young children and wife. He is originally from Havertown, PA.
USC released this statement on Person returnign to South Carolina.
"Weâ??re excited to welcome Fran and his family back to South Carolina. Heâ??ll be working with Ray Tanner and President Pastides on student-athlete wellbeing initiativesâ??an issue heâ??s been passionate about since his days in a Gamecock uniform. Initially Fran will focus on the implementation of programs stemming from the proposed NCAA governance structure including academic support, health and safety and pre-professional advising, among others."
