Local girl to be featured on The Real talk show Thursday for unique invention
COLUMBIA, SC (WACH) - A Columbia girl will be on national television this week to talk about her invention that has changed the game in hairstyle for little girls.
Gabrielle Goodwin and her mother Rozalynn will be featured on the talk show, The Real, Thursday, June 30. The show will air at 2 p.m. Thursday right here on WACH Fox.
Goodwin and her mother will be talking about their invention they co-created in 2014, The Double-Face Double-Snap Barrette by GaBBy. It's the first of its kind and was invented in South Carolina.
Our Janet Parker was the first to speak with Goodwin in 2014, but our Fraendy Clervaud caught up with Goodwin Thursday before the show aired to talk with her about her national T.V. exposure.
There will also be a watch party Thursday from 1:30 p.m. to 2 p.m. at the Sam's Club on Harbison Boulevard. Goodwin was also recently named a 2016 SCORE and Sam's Club American Small Business Champion, so it's fitting to celebrate with their supporters and SCORE mentors at the Sam's Club.
Supporters will also be able to help Goodwin reach her goal to manufacture new designs and colors for her business through a $25,000 Kickstarter campaign being launched at the viewing party.
