ORANGEBURG COUNTY, SC (WACH) – One man has been charged in a Cordova shooting that left a 35-year-old man dead, according to the Orangeburg County Sheriff’s Office.
Kendalon Curry, 25, is charged with murder, according to Sheriff Leroy Ravenell.
“This incident apparently originated in some type of argument that resulted in this unnecessary act,” the sheriff said. “No argument in the world is worth someone losing their life over.”
Curry was arrested Tuesday after investigators found out he was responsible for the shooting death of another Orangeburg man at a Carver Edisto School Road location.
Investigators were sent out around 4 a.m. Saturday, March 2 after witnesses heard multiple shots being fired at a home that was converted into a nightclub, according to the Office.
Witnesses told investigators a man, who would be identified as Curry, got of a car and began firing at the crowded club before seeing the shots hit the building. A man was then discovered on the ground.
Curry was formally charged and read his rights during a hearing on Wednesday.
