Man charged with felony DUI after Sunday accident denied bond, deputies say
LEXINGTON COUNTY, SC (WACH) – A man charged after hitting and killing a motorcyclist while driving under the influence has been denied bond, according to the South Carolina Highway Patrol.
Fifty-four-year-old Nathaniel Goodley was denied bond at the Lexington County Detention Center Tuesday, according to the Lexington County Sheriff’s Department.
The incident happened Sunday, Dec. 16 on Platt Springs Road just before 3:30 p.m., according to the Highway Patrol.
Goodley was in a 2015 Nissan and wearing a seat belt while driving eastbound on Platt Springs Road near Sandy Springs Lane. Goodley then hit a 2003 Harley-Davidson motorcycle when he crossed the median, killing the driver.
The collision remains under investigating by the South Carolina Highway Patrol.
