Man wanted in W. Columbia apartment shooting arrested, deputies say
LEXINGTON COUNTY, SC (WACH) – A Columbia man accused of shooting into a crowd and injuring two people at a Lexington apartment complex has been arrested, according to the Lexington County Sheriff’s Department.
Twenty-year-old Isaiah Deshaun Butler is charged with two counts of attempted murder for shooting several times at the Riverbend Apartments in West Columbia last month, according to arrest warrants.
“Based on information detectives gathered at the scene that night, they believe Butler fired shots from a vehicle into a crowd,” Lexington County Sheriff Jay Koon said. “The two people who suffered gunshot wounds during the Aug. 30 incident were transported but they’re both expected to make a full recovery.”
Members of the U.S. Marshals Service Fugitive Task Force arrested Butler Tuesday at a Columbia apartment complex on Southern Drive.
Butler is now at the Lexington County Detention Center while he waits for a bond hearing.
