Man who drowned in Lake Murray identified
COLUMBIA, SC (WACH) – The Richland County Coroner’s Office has released the name of the person whose body was recovered from Lake Murray Sunday afternoon.
According to Coroner Gary Watts, Rasheed Taylor of Lexington was swimming with his family when he disappeared in the water and never resurfaced.
An autopsy showed that the cause of death was due to Taylor drowning in the lake.
Taylor’s body was found Monday around 5:30 p.m. in Irmo close to the marina at 1639 Marina Rd.
The South Carolina Department of Natural Resources is continuing to investigate the incident.
