Coroner: "No indication of foul play" after missing 20-year-old woman found dead in woods
LEXINGTON COUNTY, S.C. (WACH)-- After a three day search, deputies with the Lexington County Sheriff's Department found a missing woman dead in the woods Friday morning.
According to Lexington County Coroner 20-year-old Kyrstin Blackburn was found in a wooded area off of Platt Springs Road.
No arrest have been made in connection with the missing person case and deputies are working to determine if her death was a criminal act or natural causes.
Lexington County Coroner Margaret Fisher released the preliminary autopsy findings on Saturday.
According to Fisher, no obvious indications of foul play were discovered during the autopsy that was performed on June 2, 2018. The cause of death is pending further studies, including toxicology testing.
The investigation is ongoing.
