Overdue library book? Lexington County Public Library has something you CAN do about it
LEXINGTON, S.C. (WACH) —
Starting on November 11, the Lexington County Public Library will waive late fees for overdue materials during a special Amnesty Week.
Library card holders with current overdue materials can donate a non-perishable foot items to any of the 10 branches during Amnesty Week to have overdue fines waived.
All food donations will go to Mission Lexington.
For those that do not have fines, donations are still welcome to help fulfill the nutritional needs during the holiday season.
Throughout the year, public librarians and library staff help parents and caregivers save hundreds of dollars on educational resources and services for students. Library cards provide free access to:
• Computer and internet access
• Online databases including free learning tools*
• Downloadable ebooks, magazines and audiobooks
• Streaming music, television and movies
• Technology training
• Programs for children, teens and adults
