COLUMBIA, SC (WACH) — In a press release went to WACH FOX News, Palmetto Health announces management has looked across the organization's 15,00 positions and identified nearly 140 positions to eliminate.
The release states, "Since October, we have not filled open roles and have redeployed team members in order to eliminate about 70 of these positions. On Jan. 3, about 70 team members were notified their positions were eliminated through a reduction in force, and they have left the organization. Affected team members are being offered a severance package, outplacement services and assistance applying for other positions within the organization. These changes were made with attention to minimizing impact on patient care."
