Three men wanted by the Sumter Police Department were taken into custody Thursday night.

Officers say 21-year-old Kalvin Epps was wanted for questioning in connection with a fatal shooting that happened in November.

Police now say Epps shot into a home on Silver Street Oct. 30 which sparked a retaliatory shooting about an hour later on South Salem Street that killed an innocent man.

Marcus Brown, 54, was hit by a bullet during a drive-by shooting that night, while he was sitting outside in his car. Officers say Epps was known to be in that area and is believed to be the intended target in the shooting.
