COLUMBIA, SC (WACH) - Members of the SC Democratic Party hosted a news conference calling for Republicans to pull their support for Donald Trump after his controversial remarks about women Monday.

SCDP Chairman Jamie Harrison, state representative Mandy Powers-Norrell and US Senator candidate Thomas Dixon called out SC Republicans, including Tim Scott, Trey Gowdy and Govenor Nikki Haley to not endorse the Repubican nominee.

"Any politician that continues to support Trump is even further beyond the pale," said Powers-Norrell.

Jamie Harrison echoed that sentiment. "It's long past time we speak out for each other, it's long past time to elect Hillary Clinton," said Harrison.

Saturday SCGOP Chairman Matt Moore condemned Trump for his comments.
