SUMTER COUNTY, S.C. (WACH)-- According to the South Carolina Department of Corrections, the inmate who escaped the Wateree River Correctional Institution was captured just before 4:30 a.m. Monday.
The South Carolina Department of Corrections has warned the public of inmate who escaped a prison early Monday morning.
The department posted to their Twitter page around 3 a.m that Brandon Williams Jones escaped the Wateree River Correctional Institution, in Rembert, S.C.
Jones is described as a medium built white male with blond or strawberry hair. He stands approximately six-feet-tall and weights approximately 185 pounds.
Jail records show that the 24-year-old is charged for grand larceny and burglary in Florence and Sumter counties.
Jones was moved to the facility in April. On June 11, he was disciplined for being in possession or attempting to be in possession of a cell phone.
