Deputies: Sumter man helped felon in attempted murder case

    SUMTER COUNTY, SC (WACH) – A Sumter man is behind bars after he helped another man involved with an attempted murder and possible attempted armed robbery, Sumter County Sheriff’s Office said.

    Tyvae Savon Dwyer, 24, is charged with accessory after the fact to felony or murder..

    Between Aug. 7 and Aug. 8, Dwyer helped a felon by taking him to get a gun from a location off Pack Road to use in an attempted murder and possible attempted armed robbery incident, deputies said.

    Facebook records obtained through a search warrant helped corroborate a co-defendant’s statement, deputies said.

    Authorities haven't released the name of the felon involved.
