CAYCE, SC (WACH) – The Cayce Department of Public Safety is asking residents to be on the lookout for an armed robbery suspect.

Officials say the suspect entered the Corner Pantry at 2931 Charleston Hwy. just before 9 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 22 and when approaching the cashier, grabbed his waist to indicate he had a gun.

The suspect then went behind the counter to steal the money from the cashier and grabbed the clerk by the neck. The suspect then went back around the counter and approached a customer, again grabbing his waist to indicate he had a weapon.

The suspect then took a wallet form the customer. The suspect then left the scene in the customer’s pick-up truck. The truck has since been located in the Lloydwood Subdivision in Lexington County.

Officials say the suspect is described as a black male who’s approximately 5-foot-9 to 6-feet tall and between 180 and 200 lbs. He has a distinguished burn mark or birth mark on his right cheek. As well. He was last seen wearing a dark hoodie, blue jeans and a black hat.
