COLUMBIA, S.C. (WACH FOX NEWS) --
Eighth grade students will meet with the baseball players over the course of three sessions to speak about the issue of bullying and those it impacts.
The first session was on Monday where they also started working to brainstorm for an anti-bullying skit.
"They're asking questions. They're exploring solutions. They're talking about what it's to be an up stander and make a difference and help change this problem. It's going to develop empathy in the students and then at that point they're going to create videos. They'll take action to bring this to life for other people," explains the Dutch Fork Middle School's Action Advisor Lori Wenzinger.
The Fireflies and students have two more sessions to work on their skits before the big performance next month.
The winning skit will be shown on the big board at a Fireflies game.
