Three people killed during two-vehicle accident in Calhoun County identified
CALHOUN COUNTY, SC (WACH) – The three people killed in a two-car accident Monday night in Calhoun County have been identified.
According to the Calhoun County Coroner’s Office, 67-year-old James Russell Counts, 48-year-old Tammy Elaine Counts and 21-year-old Danny Lee Heartless all died due to multiple blunt force injuries they received in the crash.
The accident happened just before 8 p.m. Monday night on U.S. 176. Heartless was the driver of a 1997 Chevrolet Camaro while both Counts, husband and wife, were in a 2005 Honda Civic.
James Russell Counts was wearing a seat belt at the time of the accident, but both Heartless and Tammy Elaine Counts weren’t wearing seat belts.
The South Carolina Highway Patrol continues to investigate the incident.
