Orangeburg County, S.C. (WACH) -- The South Carolina Highway Patrol is investigating after a fatal accident in Orangeburg County Friday night.
According to Corporal Judd Jones, the accident happened just before 8 p.m. on Sprinkle Avenue.
Cpl. Jones said a 1999 Mercury headed east on Sprinkle Avenue and attempted to turn led onto Bleakley Street. According to Cpl. Jones, a 2003 Suzuki motorcycle headed west on Sprinkle Avenue hit the Mercury as it turned left.
The driver of the motorcycle died at the hospital. The Orangeburg County Coroner will identify the driver after next of kin is notified.
Cpl. Jones said the driver of the Mercury was wearing a seatbelt and is currently in the hospital.
