Twitter, Instagram notifies users of transparency, updates to privacy policy

COLUMBIA, S.C. (WACH)- You may have noticed a message from Twitter when you logged onto the site Wednesday, April 25. The company says its updating its "terms and privacy policy to give you even more transparency". If you click on the link, it will bring you here where you can read over the updates and privacy policy.

At 4:35 a.m. on April 25, Good Day Columbia Anchor Candace Murphy received an e-mail from Instagram:

Please take a moment to review some changes to our Terms and Data Policy. Let us know if you agree to them to continue using Instagram.

LinkedIn also sent users an update to their privacy policy.
