Warrants: Two charged with with aiding in Orangerburg prison escape

ORANGEBURG, S.C. (WACH)-- According to arrest warrants, two men are now facing charges in connection with the prison escape involving three inmates from the Orangeburg County Detention Center.

Based on reports from the Orangeburg County Sheriff's Department 51-year-old Hoyte Boltin Jr. has been charged with escape/aiding escapes from prison, for prisoners charged wit non-capital offenses.

Investigators say Hoyte knowingly assisted his son, Christopher Boltin, who escaped from the detention center during a riot Saturday night.

If convicted Hoyte faces a felony charge and up to 10 years in prison.

Another man is facing two counts of aiding escapes from prison charged with capital offenses.

Warrants state that 22-year-old Dekwon Tyree Hilliard knowingly assisted 27-year-old Tyshon Demontrea Johnson, and 20-year-old Curtis Ray Green, who are both still at large.

Johnson and Green were both serving time on murder charges.

A bond hearing for Christopher is scheduled for Tuesday afternoon.

Deputies ask that if you see Johnson or Green to call Crimestoppers as they are considered to be dangerous.
