A South Carolina State University guard collapsed at PNC Arena this afternoon.

Details are limited at this time, but video from FOX Sports South shows senior guard Tyvorius Solomon on the ground near the bench. Multiple people used towels and shirts to fan him.

Announcers said Solomon started the game and "suffered a medical issue" on the sidelines during the game against NC State.

Announcers also said SCSU head coach Murray Garvin went to a Raleigh hospital with Solomon. Rio Pitt, the associate head coach, is coaching the game in Garvin's absence. According to the official NC State basketball account, Solomon was conscious when he was transported.

The university posted a statement on their Communications Program page:

Both teams elected to continue with the game.

Solomon is a senior guard at SCSU and is originally from Johns Island.
