Booker, Myers shine in Senior night overtime victory
There was a roller coaster of emotions surround the South Carolina men's basketball team's victory over LSU on Wednesday night.
It was senior night and the Gamecocks were celebrating two players, Frank Booker and Wesley Myers, who have only been with the team this season, but two players who have had a great impact.
Wednesday night's game against LSU was tied at the half, but it looked as if the Gamecocks were on their way to an easy victory when they went up 62-47 with less than ten minutes to go.
Then, however, the Tigers pulled the game within two in a matter of minutes. South Carolina led LSU 72-69 with just seconds to go in the game until LSU's Tremont Waters hit a buzzer-beating three-pointer to tie things up and send it into overtime.
In overtime, the Gamecocks came alive as Hassani Gravett and Maik Kotsar led the team to a 83-74 overtime win.
Seniors Frank Booker and Wes Myers were the only Gamecocks in double figures in scoring for the game. Booker finished with 25 points while Gravett finished with 23 points.
The Gamecocks will round out their season on the road at Auburn this Saturday.
