WACH: Career day for former Gamecock Swearinger

He started 10 games as a rookie in 2013 after Houston selected him in the second round out of South Carolina.

LANDOVER, MD (WACH) -- Despite the other team's quarterback throwing for over 300 yards and four touchdowns, former South Carolina Gamecock D.J. Swearinger had a career day in the Washington Redskins 38-30 loss to the Minnesota Vikings Sunday.

The Greenwood native recorded two interceptions, marking the first multi-interception game of his career. On top of finishing with two picks, Swearinger also had five tackles, one tackle for loss and two pass break ups.

Swearinger is in his first-season with the Redskins after previously playing for the Cardinals, Buccaneers and Texans.
