Worley named March of Greatness recipient

Kaleb Worley receives the Marine Corps March of Greatness Award.

Throughout this Friday Night Rivals season, The Marines will recognize an exceptional student member of the home team’s band with challenge coin prior to each game.

One of Marine Corps' many traditions, dating back to World War One, is the carrying of the challenge coin. Coins are often presented by high-ranking officers for a job well done, which is a great honor.

This week’s Friday Night Rivals Marine Corps March of Greatness Award goes to Kaleb Worley.

Worley is the Drum Major and student leader of the Rebel Regiment Marching Band.

He plays playing the tenor saxophone as well as bass clarinet.

Under Worley's direction, the band has successfully reached the State Championship competition.

Worley also initiated the process of creating a Tri-M Honors Music Society here at Mid-Carolina High School and is the Charter member of the chapter.

Congratulations Kaleb!!
