For the second year in a row, the Dutch Fork Silver Foxes can call themselves champions.

Dutch Fork defeated the Dorman Cavaliers 28 to 27 after a close game at Williams Brice Stadium. Dorman scored first near the end of the first quarter. Linebacker Tylen Fowler recovered a fumble and turned it into a 50-yard gain for a touchdown. Dutch Fork's sophomore running back Ron Hoff used the second quarter to put the Silver Foxes ahead. Hoff completed two touchdowns, making the score 14-7 at the half.

Quarterback Matthew Powell threw a 17-yard pass to wide receiver Zack Hillstock for a Dorman touchdown mid-way through the third quarter. Dutch Fork broke the tie thanks to Bryce Thompson's 72-yard rushing touchdown.

Dorman's John Gelotte ran the ball in and scored, tying the teams up at 21-21 to start the fourth quarter. Thompson scored again for Dutch Fork with a 25-yard run.

It came down to the final 19 seconds of the game, when Dorman's Jacob Pinckney scored. With Dutch Fork ahead 28-27, the team decided to go for a 2-point conversion. Quarterback Ben Batson's pass didn't follow through.

This is Dutch Fork's second championship in a row, and it's also head coach Tom Knott's 10th championship with the school.
