COLUMBIA, SC (WACH) - Tim Tebow might find himself at Spirit Communications Park in 2017.

According to ESPN's Adam Rubin, Tebow is likely to play for the Columbia Fireflies next year.

Tebow, the former Heisman winner and NFL quarterback, signed a developmental contract with the Mets to try his hand at baseball.

The ex-Florida Gator is currently playing in the Arizona Fall League.

Tebow made the switch to baseball from football after not playing in the NFL for the past two seasons.

He was a first-round pick of the Broncos following his collegiate career, but was released after Denver signed future Hall of Famer Peyton Manning.

Tebow hadn't played baseball prior to this fall since his senior year in high school.
