Solid Orange: a season in review
COLUMBIA, S.C. —
This week on Solid Orange, we are recapping Clemson basketball's historic season. The Tigers may have fallen to Kansas in the Sweet 16 but they finished the 2017-18 campaign 25-10 overall, and 11-7 in the ACC.
The S.O. crew unanimously votes Gabe DeVoe as the MVP of the season. DeVoe played his final game in orange and white when Clemson fell to Kansas but he will get one more collegiate game under his belt. The Shelby, N.C. native was selected to play in the National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC) Reese's All-Star game on Friday in San Antonio (where the Final Four will be played). The senior finished his Clemson career with 936 total points and ranks 8th all-time in 3-pointers made. DeVoe also averaged 25.o points per game during the three NCAA Tournament games, the highest in tournament average in Clemson history.
Jordan Roper, former Tiger guard, stays positive and reflects on what Donte Grantham meant to the program. Zach Lents, Times and Democrat, joins the crew as well.
Solid Orange airs Wednesday nights at 11 pm.
