Solid Orange: Rivalry Week!

It's the most wonderful time of the year on Solid Orange, Rivalry Week! Zach Lentz (Times and Democrat) and Robert Carswell (former Tiger Safety) join Courtney King this week on set.

The trio discuss Clemson's one spot drop in the College Football Playoff and South Carolina's new appearance in the Top 25 polls.

After the rankings, Lentz steals the show with "Stats with Zach," comparing and contrasting the Gamecocks and Tigers through statistical data.

Lentz starts with South Carolin's offense vs Clemson's defense. USC ranks 104th in total offense while Clemson sits 7th in total defense. He also points out that the Gamecocks rank 88th in the nation in sacks allowed while Clemson ranks second in the nation in sacks per game. Offensively, South Carolina has faced on defense that ranks higher than 38th in the nation, Georgia.

After a quick commercial break the hosts moved onto the other sides of the ball.

South Carolina ranks 21st in total defense while Clemson is 26th in total offense. The hosts explained that the Gamecocks have only faced one Top-30 offense all season, Missouri, and have faced four offenses that rank 100 or below.

Lastly, the gang brought up the "23 rule" since Clemson is 54-0 since 2010 when holding opponents to 23 points or less.

"Solid Orange" airs on Wednesday nights at 11 pm ET on WACH FOX.
