Former Gamecock A'ja Wilson to serve as judge in NBA Dunk Contest

Former South Carolina Gamecock and current Las Vegas Ace star A'ja Wilson will serve as a judge for next Saturday's ATT&T NBA Slam Dunk Contest in Charlotte, per source.

Wilson will join a long list of celebrities and athletes who've served as judges for this contest over the years, as last year's group included Julius Erving, Lisa Leslie, Chris Rock, Mark Wahlberg and DJ Khaled.

This year's participants for the dunk contest feature Miles Bridges (Hornets), John Collins (Hawks), Hamidou Diallo (Thunder) and Dennis Smith Jr. (Knicks). The event is set to air at 8 PM on TNT.

In addition to judging the dunk contest, Wilson will also play in Friday night's NBA All-Star Celebrity Game, presented by Ruffles. South Carolina head women's basketball coach Dawn Staley has been named coach of the designated "home" team that features former Carolina Panthers wide receiver Steve Smith, actor and Columbia native Mike Colter and Wilson. The action is slated to tip-off at 7 PM on ESPN.
