Gamecocks advance to Super Regionals

GREENVILLE, NC (WACH )-- Seven weeks ago, South Carolina was just over .500, having loss six of their last nine. Since then, USC has gone 16-7, sweeping their regional and are now one of the last 16 teams remaining in all of D1 baseball as they return to Super Regional.

The Gamecocks defeated UNC-Wilmington 8-4 Monday to earn a trip back to Supers for the second time in three years.

USC will travel to Fayetteville to play Arkansas this weekend in a best-of-three series with a trip to the College World Series on the line. The Gamecocks are 1-3 this season against the Razorbacks, having dropped their last three against the Hogs.
