Amanda Poole

Amanda joins us from News Channel Nebraska, where she has been anchoring, reporting, and doing play-by-play for multiple high school and college teams. Among her biggest assignments: reporting live from the 2021 state basketball tournament and coverage of the Wayne State Women’s programs. She’s also been producing human-interest news and sports packages each week.

Before moving to Nebraska, Amanda was a producer for MSU-TV’s “Focal Point”, where she created social media packages, maintained the station’s social media pages and covered MSU’s football team. Amanda has also worked as a digital reporter for the Toledo City paper.

Amanda grew up in Toledo, OH, where she was a high school basketball and volleyball star. She graduated from Michigan State with a Bachelor of Arts in Journalism and a minor in Political Science.

When she’s not working, Amanda enjoys playing piano, shopping, traveling, staying active and hanging out with friends.

She calls herself a coffee addict, dog lover and big supporter of her Alma Mater.

Now, she’s excited about being in Gamecock and Clemson country and covering our local teams here in the Midlands.
