Brian McConchie is the 10pm News Anchor and Managing Editor at WACH FOX.

Brian has been a fixture in Columbia for more than a decade covering both news and sports across the Midlands. During that time he has been honored with multiple honors including two Edward R. Murrow awards and multiple Associated Press awards for his work in both news and sports reporting.

Before arriving in Columbia in 2001, Brian worked as a news reporter in Southwest Georgia. Brian’s last assignment at his station there turned into one of the most exciting months of his career when he covered the 2000 Presidential recount in Tallahassee, Florida.

When he’s not chasing down the latest news story, Brian is also very active in the community, volunteering his time throughout the year to Columbia’s Ronald McDonald House, the Alzheimer’s Association and other Midlands organizations.
