Jamal Goss is a lover of innovative news reporting and multimedia storytelling.
He began his career at KTHV in Little Rock, Arkansas. While at the Tegna property, Jamal bought bold journalism to the newsroom, as he formed lasting relationships with communities leaders and organizations.
Then in August 2017, he joined WACH FOX in Columbia, South Carolina. Here his passion for journalistic excellence continues to grow alongside his expanding experience.
He studied communications at Georgia State University, where he obtained his Bachelor of Art in Journalism.
While attending the “REAL GSU,” Jamal was a team leader and a integral part of the student ran news station. He was the Assistant News Director and founded GSU’s PrimeTime Sportz group.
After interning at Turner Broadcasting for CNN’s Poppy Harlow, he knew journalism was not only the right career path, but also his true calling.
As an award-winning journalist for the Southeastern Journalism Conference, he’s covered national stories like Arkansas’s unprecedented execution schedule in April 2017, the historic Des Arc flooding, as well as an expansive range of other local stories. His key areas of enjoyment and storytelling include politics, civil engagements, and community service.
Jamal is from Wilmington, North Carolina. Outside of storytelling, you might find Jamal running with his dog "Zorian" or fumbling around the city with a camera, tripod, and boundless energy.
